I created these bathroom passes because the ones I had were always getting wet and dirty, and I thought they were probably not very sanitary! I wanted a cute little tag bathroom pass for my girls and boys to use as a necklace to take to the restroom, so they wouldn't set them down on the counter or even on the dirty floor!
These stay much cleaner, and I am so glad I made them.
All you have to do is print them out, laminate, punch a hole in them, and then put on a lanyard or thread some yarn, string, or ribbon on them. Hang them on a hook by your classroom door, and you will have an easy way to manage your students going to the bathroom. I also have them write their name on a dry erase board which I put right above them, so I know who is out of the room.
If you want really sturdy ones, you can print on card stock, or I actually printed two copies of each and mounted on cardboard before laminating, so they were double-sided and super strong.
