Brag Tags: If you love the idea of changing student attitudes from a fixed mind set to a growth mindset then these brag tags are for you. In my class I would introduce one each week and discuss. Everyone would get one to remind them of these growth mindset attitudes. These include 10 tags:
I'm on the right track!
I keep trying even if it is hard!
I can always improve!
Mistakes help me learn!
I made progress!
I like a challenge!
Instead of giving up I can use a different strategy!
My effort and attitude determines everything!
Good enough is not good enough for me!
I can learn from my friends!
Problem: I needed a way to reward positive behavior, academic achievement and special events. I wanted something that didn’t involve expensive prizes, candy or a lot of time and effort.
Solution: Brag Tags!
These little dog tag–like cards are great incentives and are easy to make!
Give each child a beaded chain (available at craft stores or Amazon. (I got 100 chains for under $28 on Amazon, then I only
have to get chains every few years. Binder rings work well too!
Copy brag tags on card stock. Laminate.
I use a scrapbooking corner rounder punch to give that cute rounded corner look. I got mine at Target.
The students love being able to show off their progress and good behavior and remember special events!
