Tired of students finishing early and not having enough choices? Tired of constantly having to create things for early finishers to work on? Problem solved! These are "Brain Benders". There are 50 of them. They start simple and gradually get harder as they advance. I also focused on various subject areas such as Math, Reading, Grammar, Music, Art, and more. Here's what to do:
Make several copies of the Brain Benders for your classroom. Cut the directions to each Brain Bender. Attach one set of directions to the outside of a file folder (folder not included). Put the other copies of the same Brain Bender inside the folder so students can take those to their seats. In each file folder, along with the directions, provide the appropriate paper needed for each activity (drawing paper, lined paper, etc... which is not included).
Create a Brain Bender bin or tray for your students to turn their work in. As students get credit for the Brain Bender, I give them a star sticker on an incentive chart so we all can keep track as they progress. (The stickers and chart are not included).
I have included a Venn diagram for one of the activities as well as the survey students will take for their final Brain Bender.
