For added fun put exercise cards in large plastic eggs and make it an Easter Exercise hunt. Great for classroom brain break, indoor recess, occupational therapy (OT) or physical therapy (PT) session. Full size pictures in BW and color also included to use as stations in the room.

Students roll a die to see which movement they must complete. Great small group or full classroom motor break.

Added December 2017: Brain Break Kids. 3 different activities to get students moving. Is your class having trouble maintaining self regulation for sustained focus and attention? Providing short classroom exercise or brain breaks during the school day can help improve on-task behavior. These can also be used for an occupational or physical therapy session, as a warm up or full therapy activity. This set includes three ways/games to play, with both color and black/white options. Six exercises included: lunges, sit ups, squats, stretch, push ups and jumping jacks.

Added Sept. 2017: ABC Movement gross motor exercise
Work on letter recognition while developing gross motor skills. Exercises for the whole alphabet! Using a multi sensory approach to teaching letters is extremely beneficial. When copying, choose the two sided option, print pages 4-13, cut out and laminate for multiple use. Place letters on the table or floor have students look for a certain letter then perform the exercise on the back. For added fun you can use an alphabet die for letter choice and a number die for how many of each exercise to do. Also included is a list of ways to learn letters and numbers without using a pencil.

Roll and Exercise: Print and laminate boards. Students roll a die to see which movement they must complete. Great small group or full classroom motor break. You can decide how many exercises are completed, or have students roll a larger number die (I use 12 sided) to find out how many of each they need to do.

Spin and exercise: Print and laminate boards. Add a spinner with a paperclip and Brad fastener or have students hold a pencil over a paper clip and “flick”. One spin for exercise choice and one spin for how many times to complete the exercise.

Exercise Memory: For best results: print on card stock, cut out and laminate cards. Find a match and complete the exercise 10 times. Make two copies to have more choices in the game. Can also match color to black and white versions.

Write the room: Are your students slumped in their seats, holding their heads up or just generally have poor written output? Use this write the room as a way to help them develop core stability and strength. Improved postural stability will improve the quality of their written output. Exercise and crossing over the mid-line of their body also helps to get both their left and right brain ready for learning. Use this product for a motor break or handwriting practice with a motor component. Providing short exercise or brain breaks during the school day can help improve on-task behavior. It can also be used for an occupational or physical therapy session, as a warm up or full therapy activity.

Movement Bingo: 24 different Movement Bingo boards with calling cards. A 25 space, as well as,16 space cards are included. Included are exercises that incorporate movement, core strengthening, Yoga and Brain Gym. Use for small groups as a warm up before writing or as fun activity to get them moving. I sometimes "stack the deck" to end with exercises that are more calming and organizing. Print, laminate and use with bingo chips or dry erase marker. Suggestions on calling cards for how many/how long to do each exercise are included. You can also have students cut and paste their own board back together for more options. Calling cards can also be copied twice and used for a memory, charades or go fish style game.

Exercise Stations and Games: This is a set of 20 exercise posters and exercise cards. Providing short exercise or brain breaks during the school day can help improve on-task behavior. These can also be used for physical education or an occupational or physical therapy session, as a warm up or full therapy activity.
Print and Laminate exercise posters. Place posters at different places throughout your room. Have students move from station to station and roll a die to see how many exercises they must complete. Use cards for them to find next station, or set up as a circuit. You can also place a sticky note on the poster with the number of exercises the student should complete. Small card sizes are also included and can be laminated and placed on a key ring for individual use. They can be copied twice and used as a memory game or go fish style card game. When you get a match you must perform the exercise.

It’s in the Cards: This is a game that can be used to get your class up and moving. Children will be more engaged after movement. Print and laminate the game and find a deck of cards. Draw a card and have your class complete the movement that corresponds to that suit.
