Brain Break: Drama Circles

Brain Break: Drama Circles
Product Description
Ready to use today. My high school students beg for it during difficult lectures and problems, my daughter's kindergarten class loves it, and professional development captives welcome it.

Brain break participants go through a series of colored symbols that have them turn in a circle, raise their hands to the sky, flap their arms like a bird, wiggle, and take a bow. Then symbols are combined such as an orange circle and a blue rectangle. (Turn in a circle and rasie your hands to the sky.)

Suggestions for use:
- set the transition timers so that you can participate too
- have the students do the motions by their desk
- do drama circles at the beginning as a warm-up, middle as a brain break or end as a cool down
- set the slides to music (my students love to plug in their tunes to the computer speakers)
- have the students move in a circle around the room while doing the motions (prepare for dizziness and delight)
- let your imagination run pedagogical
