I've taught students between 2nd-10th grade to use 4-7-8 breathing to quell stress before a test and as a group exercise to create calm in the classroom. Kids also find this useful to practice before going to sleep to facilitate a good night's rest. :)
4-7-8 breathing has been around for centuries as an ancient yogic breathing technique. It's simple, yet powerful in creating calm. The best part is students can learn to do it on their own.
