Brain Breaks for Elementary is packed full of fun and learning for three or more different settings. Unlike other brain break activities, this NO PREP game is content driven and involves movement. The game, known as a "Whip Around", will encourage emotion and therefore improve memory. You can also create your own Brain Breaks activity with the additional blank templates provided.
Get your students up and moving around while still fully engaged in the learning process with this simple to use Brain Breaks Activity.
This PowerPoint is editable and contains:
* 12 slides with Earth and Space Trivia
* 12 slides with Wacky Word Trivia
* 12 slides with Amazing Animal Trivia
* 12 slides - designed as templates - to create your own trivia quiz
Each category is designed as a separate activity and can be used on different days by simply skipping to the first slide in the next category. (Edit or separate each section if you wish.)
The true and false trivia quiz will feel more like a game as students whip-around to compare their answer with their partner's answer choice.
The best part of this presentation, is that you will engage in a whole-brain teaching activity which you can adapt and use over and over to help hook your students into the content you are about to introduce. As an introduction or exit activity to content driven lessons, three or four questions are sufficient to arouse student curiosity.
This set of three trivia activities will fill approximately 20 minutes each as students learn interesting facts they are eager to share or discuss with others.
*Please note: The thumbnails are jpegs and are not animated the way the pptx slides are in the presentation.
