These upper elementary and middle school brain break cards provide ideas for quick and easy activities that will be a lifesaver for classroom management! Each brief challenge will take five minutes or less and will help renew your students’ energy while also helping other students get the “wiggles out”. If I notice my students’ focus waning during a lesson, I simply say “time for a brain break!” I love watching their eyes light up as the whispers of excitement spread through the room. When the brain break is over, they focus on the lesson with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
The cards come in two convenient sizes. The quarter-page sized cards are perfect for putting on a binder ring for easy storage. The mini cards can be attached to a tongue depressor (ask the school nurse for some!) and stored in a jar on your desk for quick access.
