School teachers have successfully used brain breaks to help improve learning, concentration, improve stress and increase test scores.
What is a brain break ? You ask, a brain break is an activity or discussion used to re energize the learner or group in the midst of a learning activity. Brain breaks help students: Improve their cognitive skills as they complete successive rounds or come up with variations of an activity.
I have included for you a set of 60 different Brain Breaks for your students. All you need to do is print, laminated (they will last longer), hole punch on top or corner, and place on a book ring. I usually place these next to my desk or on my board with a command hook to grab when needed.
These brain breaks are great because not only do they come with its name but it also comes with a brief description of what each brain break means. Your students will LOVE them, and will beg you to give them more breaks.
I hope you give them a try! Because once you get a hold of them, you too will love them. These brain breaks will be very handy when you need to get your students back on track again. Let your students loose for a minute, let them recharge, and at the end they will be refocused and energized to continue.
