Students always have a million things in their head, but getting focused can be hard! Brain dumps can clear a student’s mind, help review a topic before a test, or recall previously learned information. Once students can clear out their personal or educational thoughts, they will be better prepared to learn.

Assign a topic or allow it to be the beginning of a Genius Hour or Wonder Wall activity! Brain Dumps are a great tool for building inquiry in the classroom.

In the classroom, these sheets are great for getting focused on a new topic or test review. Students will also amaze you with all of their ideas for things they wonder about the world or what might be stuck in their head and keeping them from focusing in the classroom.

Assign a topic to fill in the blank, set a timer for 3, 5, or 10 minutes, and have your class stay focused on a single topic. Don’t worry if they start to look around, they are just thinking through the information and hoping something in the room helps them remember!

Included are blank pages (which help stimulate diagrams, doodles, and remove any limits) and lined pages. Lined pages work best for younger classes or if you would like to set a minimum fill area.

This product includes a lined and unlined page for each of the following topics:

• Here’s everything I wonder about…

• Here’s everything I know about…

• Here’s everything I remember about…

• Here’s everything I need to do for…

• Here is everything floating in my head that I need to clear out.
