Brainstorming in a classroom setting can be difficult. Brain Writing allows all of your students to be heard as well as keeping them on task. The instructions are as follows:
-Without talking, write 3 ideas in one row. When you are done, trade your paper.Read over the responses and then write 3 more new ideas on your new sheet.Continue until time is called. Afterwards narrow down your ideas.Start by choosing the best ideas per sheet, then among the group of sheets.
I've used this sheet for group project planning for classes as well as clubs. It can also be used as part of profession development.
