ELL language: Spanish
This worksheet is designed to help English Language Learners practice their English skills while learning about the instruments of the orchestra.
Directions are presented in both English and Spanish. The first side of the worksheet is to name the four main brass instruments as well as introduce other instrument-specific vocabulary. The second side includes questions for which students must use the vocabulary box at the top of the page to fill in the blanks using new English vocabulary.
Teaching tip: Students with fewer English skills can first fill in the Spanish answers and then find the corresponding English words to fill in the English answers. After students complete the worksheet, ask students to read both the questions and full answers out loud. This may take some encouragement for students who are reluctant to try reading out loud in English.
