Brave New World Chapter 8
In this chapter Bernard shows a special interest in John the Savage.
Through John we learn about the customs of the savages.
We recognize how Linda's conditioning prevented her from assimilating into the savage society and resulted in her and John being rejected.
John reveals his love of Shakespeare and makes poignant allusions to his works while talking with Bernard.
Finally, we get a hint of John's attraction to Lenina and can speculate the difficulties that might occur in that relationship.
