This is an activity to be completed while reading or during discussion of chapters 7 and 8 of Brave New World.
Lenina is both curious and repulsed by the people and events in
the Savage Reservation.
She escapes her horror by recalling her hypnopaedic conditioning and by relating events to more familiar activities back home.
She meets an interesting and attractive savage who surprises her and Bernard with his heritage.
There are questions regarding Bernard and Lenina's visit to the Savage Reservation, their encounters and their reactions.
Also listed are the many allusions to Shakespeare that John quotes.
Students are asked to discuss why those allusions are particularly relevant to the conversation among the characters and the themes of the novel.
