PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Using PowerPoint 2010 I have created a 57-slide presentation of the concepts presented in Huxley’s Brave New World. Each idea is introduced with an excerpt from the text. The following slide reveals a current article relevant to the topic. Next is a collection of headlines emphasizing the prevalence of the practice or situation in our society. The fourth slide in the group consists of pop information about the topic shown as tabloids, cartoons, graphs, quotes, etc. The 14 topics cover genetic manipulation, maintenance of youth, sleep teaching, soma, consumption, religion, family, etc. The pop info includes in-utero surgery, designer babies, plastic surgery, antidepressants, stimulus packages, divorce, etc. I conclude the information with a section entitled “Why Care?” which encourages students to recognize everyday situations similar to those discussed and a call to action to work toward preventing the evolution of such a dystopic society. Graphics are vibrant and interesting. Font is clear. Sources are listed. I use this as an intro to the novel; however, it could be used at point throughout the discussion or in segments. Thank you for your consideration.
THIS IS A LARGE FILE THAT I HAD TO SPLIT. YOU MUST MAKE TWO PURCHASES FOR THE ENTIRE PRESENTATION. I HAVE PRICED THE ITEMS ACCORDINGLY. THEY ARE LABELED PP1 AND PP2 IN THE TITLE. I APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
