Students have a handout of the first two paragraphs of the novel and teacher has same handout on Smartboard. Students are instructed to circle diction that gives you Huxley's opinion of this world. Individually they do so and then they contribute to the Smartboard copy, as we circle these words. Then discussion of tone.
After that, we go to the next two slides of imagery. Students again circle words that show Huxley's opinion of this world. We identify the motif (insect, bug-like) and then again tie in Huxley's tone and opinion.
