Product Description
Students' task:
You live in a country in Europe and have decided to embark on a career as a sailor. Based on your country of origin, you need to find a Captain who is heading out on a voyage. Through a variety of job assignments, you will voyage to the New World, tracking your progress, successes, and failures. At the end of your journey--either back in Europe, settled in the New World, or, perhaps, on your deathbed--you must reflect on whether your crew had a positive or negative effect overall.

Students will research a variety of topics, using web and book resources. I chose my resources based on my individual students' needs, so they are not included in this Doc.

Using the knowledge they accumulate, students will decide if their explorer leader (an existing one, not the persona they take on) deserves a holiday celebrated in their honor, or if they effects they had did not warrant a holiday.
