Basketball charts and graphs break out escape room
By Kathy Applebee; Students must read and comprehend charts, graphs and data to be successful. Includes clues, directions, answer key, exit ticket and reflection questions, online resources and review games, standards in math and ELA and an editable rubric.
Recommended Ages/ target audience: elementary/middle; Ideal Group Size: classroom; Suggested Time: 5 minute introduction, 50 minute playing time, additional time for reflection and exit tickets

STORY:
Your favorite team is playing an exhibition game with the Palisade Peaches, a co-ed team that has had some surprising success since 2015. The Peaches are running a contest to give away free airfare, hotel and skybox tickets to the game to the first team to get into the locked box. While you might not care about watching the co-ed Peaches, you’d love to see your team play. Can you get into the box before the other contestants scoop up the tickets you want?

MATERIALS NEEDED
2 lock boxes, 6 lock hasp, 3 regular locks and keys, 3 & 4 number combo locks, letter lock and direction lock, Clues .PDF, teacher answer keys, A pair of pants or jacket with pockets
