Scenario: "There is a lockbox on the table. Your homework is gone. You have 40 minutes to find the keys to open the lockbox. In the lockboxbox is your phone. You can use your phone to call home and ask your mom to bring your homework to school. In the lockbox is a prize for you also."
Breakout of your normal classroom review routine! This game requires teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting by presenting participants with challenges that ignite their natural drive to problem-solve.
Vocabulary reviewed: classes, schedules, and classroom words
Materials needed: a word lock, a combination lock, 2 keyed padlocks, a directional lock, a backpack, a photo of the teacher, two tags (made from paper and yarn), a UV marker, a blacklight/UV flashlight, a lock box, the clothes the teacher is wearing in the teacher's picture, a necklace, some envelopes, popsicle sticks, a cipher spinner, a classroom prize (this can be a certificate for a movie day or candy or whatever you think your class would enjoy), the enclosed packet. All of the locks are available on AMAZON and are re-usable for my other breakout games!
