BRIAN'S WINTER INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK
*Please Note: The interactive notebook and the book companion are the same activities, in two different formats. The interactive notebook is filled with cut/paste/fold activities, while this resource is in traditional worksheet form. Some teachers like to have both for the different needs of their students.*
This novel study is designed to be a relaxed unit for both teacher and students. You will notice that I do not include quizzes or tests in any of my novel studies. As an English teacher, I prefer to not use reading as a time to test using multiple choice, true or false, fill-in-the-blank, or matching assessments. I want my students to enjoy reading and not have worry about what's coming when they are done.
Your students will work on the following tasks:
Writing a Book Review
Author Biography Research
Venn Diagram – Compare and Contrast
