Product Description
This is the product you have been searching for! I have created a culminating activity that creates a perfect display for the end of your Bridge to Terabithia novel study. In this bundle you will be receiving, a craftivity that students will create to show the changes that occur in Jess throughout the novel. Students will create a tree that marks what his character was like at the beginning of the novel, students will then write his reaction to various events throughout the novel, then they will complete their tree by writing how Jess was at the end of the novel. Students can add branches to their trees as well as yarn ropes. Students' completed trees create a "forest" of character changes. They will look great displayed in your classroom or hallway.

In addition to this craftivity, you will also be receiving a power point that can be utilized before the craftivity. The power point contains a quickwrite, a slide noting changes in Jess, and finally a slide with a bare tree. This tree can be utilized to have students note the changes that occur in Jess, Leslie, and May Belle. I always use our Ellison machine and cut out fall leaves for my students to write their character changes on. We then tape them to the tree. An alternative to this would be to create a tree out of butcher paper and allow the students to put their character change leaves on this. You could place this in the center of your display area and put students' character trees around this display.

Overall, this is fun lesson to share with your students to help them realize that events in the novel create changes in the characters. Thank you for considering my products!

This lesson is also part of a bigger bundle that relates to the entire novel. Check it out!
