This is a complete set of low-order questions (322) to provoke and test students' comprehension when reading the novel by Katherine Paterson.
I developed this for use with my special needs class, so the focus of the questions is on reading and basic fact-finding. Some questions ask students to explain words from the text. By paying close attention to the text, and with some use of their dictionaries, students should be able to answer all questions. They should have an excellent grasp of the plot as a result.
I usually give each student a copy of the questions when we begin the novel, and then use as homework, classwork etc.. My students love this routine.
There are 322 questions in total. It's a 10 page student handout, in Word format, so editable to suit your class. The solution is also included (12 pages).
The preview file contains the questions for Chapter 1. Even if you don't purchase my product, this will give you a useful start to your study of the novel.
