Your students will love to binge on bridge-building while learning/practicing these 44 “ge” and “dge” words. There are 3 different levels of words- easy, moderate, and challenge.
Each bridge card pictures part of a bridge and has a “ge” or “dge” word on it. Students are to ‘build bridges” by putting cards that “fit” together side by side. Also, they must read the word on the card to keep it and build with it (or stop others from building theirs). All 176 cards (for every type of bridge) have the same words on them.
There are 4 types of bridges pictured on the cards that can be put together. They are suspension, arch, tower, and trestle.
This activity is great for guided reading groups, tutoring, RTI, and centers. Grades 1-4.
