Product Description
This project is one that I have used consistently as a creative writing and assessment piece. Not only does it function as an assessment of Romantic characteristics, Wordsworth's style and tone, and the content of his famous poem "Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey" but it allows the students to engage creatively with the material and truly become one of Wordsworth's "man speaking to men."

This is the instruction sheet for the poem assignment following students' critical close reading of Wordsworth's poem. This comes with no time limit or length because it will be entirely dependent on the group of students, so you can adjust due dates as needed.

The assignment sheet is split into sections that guide students through the process, from suggestions on how to write effective poetry, to requirements, and a breakdown of the four stanzas and their composition and subject matter.
