Using any word processing software, complete the broadcast by filling in the blank parts of the handout with the correct type of word(s). Then format the document using the correct commands by following the directions listed at the bottom of the handout. Points are given, but can easliy be adjusted. Preview does not show the points list and formatting to be completed but is on actual download version. A rubric can be used as well.
Included in this purchase are demo documents showing how to complete the formatting commands with pictures and arrows for both MS Word and Google Docs. This is great to demonstrate the commands to your students or as a reference for them when completing. It is also effective for absent students to get caught up on what they missed.
This is a fun activity for students because it helps with keyboarding and word processing formatting skills. Additionally, it gives students practice with identifying the different parts of speech by combining Language Arts with Computer Science for a great cross curriculum experience. Enjoy!
