In this Valentine's Day activity, you find 20 broken heart pieces (forming 10 whole hearts) and a recording sheet for the students.
When put together, one whole heart contains two versions of the same quote: a grammatically correct version and a grammatically incorrect version. The students will match the corresponding halves together to form whole hearts and then write the correct quote on the line. You could use the hearts in a Literacy Center and the handout could double as an assessment!
You could use the opportunity to discuss what the quotes mean, the lives of the people quoted, teaching kindness character traits, or how to be a good person.
Quoted speakers include:
*Charles M. Schulz
And many more!
