This set of five preschool activities are themed after the classic story "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" written by Bill Martin Jr. The activities focus on skills such as color matching, fine motor practice, alphabet recognition, counting, and future writing skills. •Circle Time Props Signs [3 pages]- 11 signs that match up with the story of Brown Bear to promote toddler engagement with the story.
•Left-to-Right Fine Motor [1 page] - Preschoolers draw a line using a writing utensil from the bear on the left to the animal friend on the right. Children can also use scissors to practice snipping in straight lines.
•Count and Clip Cards [2 pages]- Provide clothespins or clips along with these cards for children to count the number of animals on each card and clip over the correct numeral.
•Pom-Pom Bear Color Matching [2 pages]- Set these cards on a flat surface along with pom-poms (or another small item, such as buttons) for preschoolers to place pom-poms onto the cards, matching the color.
