Product Description
Do you read the story Brown Bear Brown Bear ? It’s one of my students’ all-time favorites.

Because of that, I like using the story as a springboard for practicing colors and color words, so I designed some quick, easy and fun “Brown Bear” color games.

The packet includes:

* 3 different sets of brown bears featuring the colors: red, orange, yellow, green blue, purple, pink, black, white, brown & gray, along with …

* 2 sets of color word cards, which include both spellings for gray/grey.
* There’s a set of words in matching colors for little ones, as well as a set in black, for assessing and really recognizing that word that goes along with its matching colorful bear card.

* A set of “spot the dot” matching colored circle cards adds to the fun.

Use the cards for:
* Games, such as Memory Match.
Children can match picture to picture, color to color, picture to word, or word to word card.
Older students can find more than just 2 matches, as I’ve purposely designed the cards to be different sizes.

* You can also play a game of “I Have; Who Has?”, “Kaboom”, Hidden Colors” or “What’s Missing?” (Directions included).

The cards are also fun for
* Sorting
* Sequencing
* Counting
* Making Patterns

For more practice, I’ve included 2 sets of black & white templates, so that students can color, cut, and make their own color bear game to take home.

* There’s also a “Colors On A Roll” dice game, where students color their bear puzzle, then cut on the dashed lines trimming it into 6 pieces.
They pick a partner and take turns rolling the dice. Whatever number they roll, they glue the matching numbered section to their worksheet grid.
The first one to complete their bear puzzle is the winner.

* Another worksheet game is “I Spy A Color” and “I Spy a Color Word”, which can be used as an independent center, or whole-group assessment.
* There are also matching "Roll & Color” dice game worksheets too.

Just for fun, I've included a "favorite color" graphing extension as well.

I’m Diane from Teach With Me, hoping your students enjoy practicing colors with Brown Bear.
