This little set is very simple, easy to use and my kids love variations on games like it all year!
Take turns picking a card. Record how many in the ten frame. Count up the total of all 8 ten frames after 8 turns have been taken. The winner is the student with the biggest total of squares. This is a quick game because new games can be played after students draw 8 cards--instant gratification!!!
These cards can be printed induplicate sets for the game of memory. Students say "b-r-r--r" when they do not have a match, and "a-h-h-h" when they have a match. Lots of opportunities to grab another sheet and practice counting and recording on a standard ten frame printable. This is how I do centers in a quick, easy way! The cards include numbers to 20 and number sentences to 11 (keepin it simple).
