These addition games (one for 2 dice and one for 3) work well as a math center or as a take home activity. They are a great way for students to purposefully practice addition facts. The games come with 5 different cut-and-glue recording sheets. These can be used alone or as part of the center.
This product addresses the following Common Core Standards* for kindergarten, first, and second grade:
K.OA.A.1 Represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, mental images, drawings1, sounds (e.g., claps), acting out situations, verbal explanations, expressions, or equations.
K.OA.A.5 Fluently add and subtract within 5.
1.OA.B.3 Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract.
1.OA.C.5 Relate counting to addition and subtraction (e.g., by counting on 2 to add 2).
1.OA.C.6 Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10.
1.OA.D.8 Determine the unknown whole number in an addition or subtraction equation relating three whole numbers.
2.OA.B.2 Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies.2 By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
