Continue working on more advanced rhythms with this third installment of Bucket Drumming!
This file focuses on ti-tika as the next rhythmic element to add to drumming skills. Students should already be familiar with ta, ti-ti, tika-tika, and quarter rest.
*** Bucket Drumming 103 File ***
Includes basic rhythms using eighth-sixteenth notes, sixteenth notes, quarter notes, quarter rests, and paired eighth notes.
The rhythms are broken down into counts (1e+a2e+a3e+a4e+a) and then are broken down using the following pattern: clap/count the rhythm, play on left hand, play on right hand, play with alternating hands. Alternating hand patterns are labeled for both a left hand and a right hand start.
Some patterns involve combinations of right hand only, left hand only, together, or alternating!
*** Bucket Drumming 103 Two-Part Ensemble ***
Expand on your bucket drumming abilities by creating a two-part ensemble! This file uses the rhythms introduced in the first PDF to create 10 rhythmic combinations for your students to perform.
Each two-part rhythm is presented in the following way: play/count rhythm #1 with alternating hands, play/count rhythm #2 with alternating hands, and playing both rhythms using alternating hands. All rhythms are meant to be reviewed with all students in unison, and then should be played using a split class. All rhythms are labeled with right hand, left hand, or together.
*** Bucket Drumming 103 Composition Worksheets ***
Included in this file are worksheets to use with or without buckets. 12 total worksheets designed to create basic rhythms to play using ta, ti-ti, rest, tika-tika, and ti-tika. There are four separate worksheets with three versions of each.
