Students are taken through an incredible journey and take a true test to become Bucket Drumming Ninjas. Each Bucket Drumming Karate lesson includes:

A Vocabulary Section (Terms, Concepts, Music Notation & Symbols), A Rudiment, And an Assessment Piece.
Each must show a full understanding in all three of these in order to advance to the next karate belt.

The concepts students focus on in this lesson are:

Rudiment (definition)
Quarter Note
Quarter Rest
Eighth Note
Time Signature
Single Stroke Roll

It is great community builder to have a bulletin board to have the Karate Belts hanging in order outside, or inside your classroom. Print out ninja slips that kids write their names on, and if they pass the playing test for any belt then they may tape/staple their name on the white belt on the bulletin board. This is the greatest motivating factor for the students, measures their progress, and shows them the long-term goal which will result in them knowing all fundamental concepts in Drumming.
