Product Description
This is a beginning of the year unit that will build student unity within each other. It focuses on filling each others buckets with nice kind sincere compliments and NOT bucket dipping by giving put downs.
This activity is to be completed after reading the book “Have You Filled A Bucket Today? Or “How Full Is Your Bucket?” By Carol McCloud.
Cut out the blue buckets and staple to cups. (See the bulletin board photo.) Put student name on each bucket. Each week I pull out sticks to choose 2 students to be the bucketfillers of the week. Each student writes a “Sincere” compliment to fill the chosen classmates’ buckets. (Sincere compliment ppt should be shown before they begin writing their own compliments.) Bucketfiller form is also included-this is what students use to write a sincere bucketfiller message.
When I introduce this entire concept at the beginning of the year I have each student complete the page “I Fill A Bucket When I…..” and create a class book. I have also included the page and a class cover.
Please email with any questions.
:) Thanks so much!
