In this activity, students will create a representation of a suitcase. They will “fill” half of their suitcase with illustrations of items that Bud keeps in his suitcase. They will analyze the symbolism and provide a quote (textual evidence) to support the fact that Bud has this item in his suitcase. The other half of the suitcase will be “filled” with items that represent themselves and their own lives.
