This is a summary of what one would teach for a Budgeting Unit. Use this as it is, changing up some of the activities, handouts etc. based on what you have available for teaching. This was based on materials on hand at the time.
This was done for every unit taught. It was given to the students at the beginning of the unit. The unit was taught using the various activities/handouts etc. Then at the end, prior to a quiz, the Concept Sheet was reviewed in the class so students could clarify any concept or budgeting idea they did not understand. Then a quiz can be given or if the teacher feels the students know the material, they can just go on to the next unit.
The vocabulary list is great for a budgeting unit however, it only includes the worlds but not the definitions. On the Document itself is a website where a great Budgeting PowerPoint is included. That PP is where many of these vocabulary terms are included and you can have students write down notes into the included Budgeting Concept Sheet
