This is a great activity for practising making sets and adding to 10.
The teacher should print out all the pieces and laminate for durability.
Students get a bug jar and an addition card. Students can use play bugs purchased from a $2 shop, other small insect toys or other relevant toys you have in class. Students put the right number of insects or toys on the bug addition jar. Count up how many there are in total and write the answer on your addition card using a whiteboard marker.
Instructions are on the first page of the document.
