This product was made for helping students work on their division with remainders skills. I am currently working with 3rd grade students who are having a difficult time grasping the concept. I have put together three different center activities for students to be able to use to help them practice.
I included a reference page for students to glance at to remind them how to start off a problem.
I also included vocabulary cards for quotient and remainder
Center 1 - Caterpillar Task Cards
This center is just a center of task cards. The students read the problem and have to solve the division problem and put the answer with a quotient and a remainder if one occurs. I included a response sheet for this.
Center 2 - Dragonfly flip and solve
For this center there are two different sets of cards. There are small cards and large cards. The students will need to put the cards into their appropriate pile upside down. They will flip 1 card from each pile and which ever 2 numbers they get are the ones they will need to divide. They will record their answer on the sheet that i provided.
Center 3 - Bumble bee spin and solve
This center consists of a number of different spinning wheels. There are 3 wheels that are colored and one that is grey. The students can pick any 1 of the three colorful spinner and also the one grey spinner. They will spin the grey spinner once and the colored spinner once. Whichever numbers their spinners land on will be the ones they use for their division problem. They must write the problem with the answer on the recording sheet.
