This 2 player print and go black and white game is a great end of the year rhythm review. Students use the playing cards included in the set to draw the formal name of a rhythm (quarter note, quarter rest, half note, half rest, quarter rest, 4 sixteenth notes, eighth note, eighth rest, barred eighth notes, dotted half note, whole note, whole rest). When they draw a card, they may use their color (each student will need their own colored marker or pencil) to color the amount of rhythm in one measure bug that they drew on their card. After a bug is completed, the student with the most time/rhythm colored on the bug must perform it, and then may circle and claim it as their own. The game ends when all bugs are colored in. The winner is the student who has "won" the greatest number of bug measures. Specific directions sheets are included in the set as well as a printable game board, and rhythm name cards. All you need to provide are the 2 colored writing tools.
Print, color, and review rhythm in quarter time for an end of the year game your students will love!
