This seven-day long Build-A-Creature Workshop is the first of three components in my best-selling Public Speaking Unit for Junior High and Early High School Students.
Differentiated into three tiers and common-core aligned, this public speaking activity invites students to create their OWN topic on which to speak in class, giving them sole ownership over their first speech. Furthermore, your students help each other succeed by participating in partner-practices and giving one another feedback.
Students have the opportunity to partake in this fun, student-centered activity, and in the process, they learn how to form and recognize the following speech types:
