In this activity, students will roll a die and then build that number on a ten frame. Then, students will add one more. Other variations included in this packet are rolling one die and rolling it a second time, rolling two dice and then one, and rolling two dice and then rolling two more. With each activity, students may use ten frames to build their numbers and record their equations to show their work. This will help with students' understanding of numbers at different levels and also help with addition skills. The various levels allow for differentiation as needed in the classroom. This can be used as a center. The sheets could be laminated and used with dry erase markers for center work. Also, there is one additional sheet that is for students to record equations.
