This printable is a fun paper craft for children to practice their cutting and pasting skills. A great activity for winter and the holidays.
Simply print the paper reindeer template, cut the pieces out and stick together to build a cute reindeer!
My cute, chubby little animals are anthropomorphic, which basically means that they have human traits – like standing on two legs instead of four. Of course, they are far from realistic – I go for cute when I create characters for my printables – and they also get names too! This reindeer is called Rudolph (of course!).
Included with this printable reindeer craft are the following pieces:
- Body (with eyes and mouth)
- Red nose
- Collar with bells
Instructions for use:
- Print number of templates required (the full set contains 4 sheets, including the cover page. You can print pages 2-4 for your children as the 1st page is the brief instructions and an image of the reindeer).
- Stick pieces together with glue or tape.
- You could mount your reindeer onto a larger piece of construction paper and use other craft materials to embellish it – furry material, glitter glue, googly eyes, sequins, buttons, tissue paper, for example.
Finished reindeer is approx 12"/30cm tall.
For more advanced cutting practice I have a free printable single-sheet reindeer template on my blog.
