Create class books using your high frequency words in meaningful sentences!
Every time you introduce another high frequency word, create a book to reinforce the reading and spelling of the word. Over 86 words and 5 punctuation marks are included, each on a separate page for you to copy and cut apart.

There are student worksheets for the children to write their own sentences on half-sheets of paper which can be glued onto the back of their cut-and-paste drawing pages.
How do I use this book in my classroom?
Your students can create their own page for a class book! When we introduce a new word, we create a sentence for it and each child puts the words for that same sentence in correct order. They then illustrate their sentences using a variety of art media. We love to have them outline their work with a black permanent marker and then use watercolors to paint inside their lines. See our thumbnail samples!
We then collect all their illustrated pages and put them together as a class book for our library corner. The students will read these books in your classroom library over and over and over!
Included are all the reproducible blackline masters, full directions, and a color photo page showing sample class book pages. Put these books in your class library and the children will select them over and over to read!
