Description
If you are working on space, the solar system, the planets and/or other celestial bodies, then this solar system model will be perfect for your students! Wrap up the Space unit by allowing the students to build a model of what our solar system looks like.
This is an outline and guideline leading up to building the model. It uses the Scientific method to list materials and the method as well as draw a plan for what the solar system will look like. The first page also includes two Frayer models where students can show their understanding. Rubric included!
Students can have choice as to how they build the model. They could build it out of styrofoam balls, clay, in a box, on a poster board, the possibilities are endless! Just type "solar system project" into google images, and they will have some ideas. This outline will help them get there!
