This .zip file, when extracted, contains a SCORM 1.2 module that teachers can upload as an "assignment" on most Learning Management Systems, such as EDU 2.0, Moodle, Blackboard, etc. The SCORM file tracks student results and reports their score to the LMS, so when students log in to their LMS and take this activity, their scores go directly into the grade book (no grading by teacher required!).
This file, created with Articulate Storyline software, plays on both Mac and PC computers with no problem, and on tablets such as iPads with the free download of the Storyline app. It seems to be "hit or miss" with success on smartphones, and I'm not quite sure why. Some of my 8th graders using phones have no trouble, but some iPhone screens seem to freeze up with this file. Some Android phone users have reported problems, others no problem. The screen of the iPhone seems to be too small to correctly register some of the inputs. I am hopeful that as the Storyline software updates and smartphone updates continue, these occasional glitches will be resolved. In the meantime, I'd only trust this software when used with screens larger than phones.
