Build a Bus for the Pigeon

Build a Bus for the Pigeon
Product Description
Icludes worksheer (shown) and lesson plan for activty (not shown)

This activity sheet and lesson is about the invention of busses and cars. We read the book Don't Let the Piegon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems and then used various supplies (teacher supplied) to build cars or busses within small groups. Students should be given items to choose from as a group. After a group finished, I didn't allow them to get new items or change items. They had to work with what they picked. The worksheet provides space for students to discuss how they could improve their design.

SuggestedSupplies:
this worksheet
various "wheels" (examples: water bottle caps with holes, cardboard circles, cups, etc)
car "bodies" (tissue boxes, pasta boxes, etc.)
car "axels" (toothpicks, chopsticks, straws, etc)
