In this interactive classroom game, students play in groups of 2-4 and build their own cell membrane by placing hexagon-shaped tiles onto their player mats.

The goal in the game is earn the most points by collecting specific types of components for your cell membrane and as students play, they learn about receptors, transport proteins, cholesterol, glycolipids, and glycoproteins without even realizing they are learning! The game is quick, fun, easy to play, and has a unique scoring scheme that encourages students to use strategy skills as they play.

Printing Instructions/Recommendations:

To prepare these for your class, I suggest printing the student mats on thick card stock and laminating them, if you can, to make them re-usable. There are two different playing mats: 1 for 2 player games and 1 for 3-4 player games. You will need a student mat for each student.

I include teacher instructions but I also include an easy two-page student instructions set you can place at student stations so students can teach themselves the game!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask in the Q&A section and I will get back to you when I can!
