Build a Garden Light and learn about Transistors

In this project the students build a functioning garden light that uses solar power to store energy and a photoresistor to sense light and a transistor automatically to turn on an LED at night. The project is scaffolded and students love it! They learn about transistors, solar cells, photoresistors and how to build a circuit that's useful. In addition, they build the structure of the light and can put it in their yard for years of night time light.
