This is a set of lessons in which students work independently or in a small group to build a robotic arm. The individual lesson requires students to work independently to build a robotic arm for a friend with a Styrofoam allergy by taking the user's feelings and recommendations to build the arm. The group lesson uses an activity from tryengineering.com to build the robotic arm with limited supplies.
Both lessons were very successful in my classroom! I have used it with my gifted students from grades 3-6, but would work well into the high school years, too!
Every robotic arm is different and it is amazing to see their ideas come to life!
Please leave feedback!
