In this activity students practice identifying different ways to show a number. Students use the number on the snowman's hat to build a snowman with that same number but in different ways. For instance, the first snowball has the number word, the second snowball has 8 dots that students have to count, and the third snowball has tally marks. This is a great way for students to understand that there are different ways to show numbers. Snowmen contain numbers 1-10. Great for a math center or small group activity. Print on card stock and laminate for durability. Use with K students, lower level first graders, or those students who need some extra number practice! Also would fit right in with a winter themed unit! ENJOY!
