In this activity students practice identifying different ways to show a number. Students use the number on the snowman's hat to build a snowman with that same number but in different ways. For instance, the first snowball has the number word, the second snowball has 11 dots that students have to count, and the third snowball has tally marks. This is a great way for students to understand that there are different ways to show numbers. Snowmen contain numbers 11-20. Great for a math center or small group activity. Print on card stock and laminate for durability. Use with K students, lower level first graders, or those students who need some extra number practice! Also would fit right in with a winter themed unit! ENJOY!
